Terms of Service

The basic rules for using StairSolver and the boundaries of the current free pre-check service.

Last updated: July 7, 2026

Acceptance

By using StairSolver, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The current service may change, pause, or be discontinued without notice.

Current features

The current website provides a live stair pre-check calculator, source explanations, methodology pages, sample report content, and a free PDF reference packet generator.

It does not currently provide paid subscriptions, checkout, paid report delivery, or payment webhooks. Future paid, account, storage, or checkout features must be covered by updated terms before they are released.

Acceptable use

You may not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, upload malware, scrape in a way that harms the service, or use it to violate laws or third-party rights.

You are responsible for the information you submit and for ensuring you have the right to submit it.

User content and reports

You keep ownership of the measurements, location text, quote text, and other content you provide. You grant StairSolver the limited permission needed to process that content, generate the requested report, and provide downloads.

Do not submit sensitive personal information unless the feature specifically asks for it and explains why it is needed.

No professional advice

StairSolver content and reports are for informational and planning purposes only. They are not legal, financial, tax, engineering, architectural, construction, safety, insurance, or other professional advice.

You are responsible for reviewing outputs and getting qualified professional advice before relying on them for decisions with real-world consequences.

Service availability

We aim to keep the service available, but we do not promise uninterrupted, error-free, or permanent access.

We may modify, suspend, or remove features to maintain security, comply with law, or improve the service.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, StairSolver is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
