User Data and Rights

What data may be collected, how requests work, and how users can ask to delete or export information.

Last updated: July 7, 2026

Data collection summary

Current free flow: users can enter stair measurements, project context, location text, and optional contractor text to generate an on-demand PDF reference packet.

Future persistent flow: the service may collect project records, report inputs, generated PDF files, file metadata, download records, support messages, and security logs.

Delete or export requests

You may ask us to delete or export personal information associated with you by contacting support@stairsolver.com.

We may verify your identity before acting on a request. If we cannot reasonably identify the relevant records, we may ask for additional information such as report ID, email address, or approximate creation date.

Export format

When technically feasible, exports should be provided in a portable format such as JSON, CSV, PDF, or another commonly usable file format.

If the only stored item is a generated PDF, the export may consist of that PDF and related metadata.

Deletion scope

Deletion should cover active application records and stored report files that can reasonably be linked to the verified requester.

Some information may be retained when necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute handling, accounting, backups, or other legally permitted reasons.

Backups and logs

Deleted data may remain in backups or security logs for a limited period until those systems rotate or are overwritten.

Backup and log access should be restricted and used only for security, continuity, debugging, or compliance purposes.

Non-discrimination

Where required by law, we will not discriminate against users for exercising privacy rights.

Some features may require certain data to function. If that data is deleted, the related feature or report download may no longer be available.
