Current service status
StairSolver currently provides a live stair pre-check calculator and a free PDF reference packet generator. It does not currently create user accounts, process payments, sell subscriptions, or run a checkout flow.
The current PDF flow sends your entered measurements, location text, and optional contractor text to the report generation endpoint so the PDF can be generated and returned. The current application code does not persist paid orders or subscriptions.
Information we may collect
Information you provide directly, such as stair measurements, project type, location text, optional contractor quote text, support messages, or an email address if a future lead or account feature asks for one.
Technical information needed to operate and secure the service, such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages requested, timestamps, error logs, and security events.
Usage events may be logged for product quality, such as opening the sample report or completing a free PDF download. These events should not include full payment credentials or secrets.
How we use information
We use information to calculate stair geometry, generate requested PDF reference packets, show baseline risk explanations, respond to support requests, debug errors, maintain security, and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information. We do not currently share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Service providers
We may use infrastructure and operations providers, such as hosting, database, object storage, email, security, logging, and customer support vendors, only as needed to run the service.
If Cloudflare R2 storage is enabled later, generated report files should be stored in a private bucket and delivered through short-lived signed URLs rather than public permanent links.
Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required for security, dispute resolution, accounting, or legal compliance.
When persistent report storage is enabled, generated PDFs should have a documented retention period and a deletion process tied to user requests and account closure.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Access to stored reports should be limited by private storage, short-lived signed links, least-privilege credentials, audit logs, and secrets stored outside source code.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, export, restriction, or objection to certain processing of your personal information.
To make a privacy request, contact support@stairsolver.com. We may need to verify your request before acting on it.
Children
The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe a child under 13 provided personal information, contact support@stairsolver.com so we can review and delete it where required.
Changes
We may update this policy when the service changes. Material changes should be posted before the changed feature collects or uses new categories of personal information.
